In this article, I will explain the metaphysical foundation of all human fears and how to overcome any type of fear. However, I must warn you that the content is highly advanced. If this is your first encounter with such information, my words might seem like a foreign language or incomprehensible. If you don’t understand the message I’m conveying, I suggest reading the article multiple times and delving deeper into my teachings by reading my previous articles. With that said, let’s begin.
The Root of All Fear: Loss of Identity
The basis of all human fear is the fear of losing one’s identity. As I often say, reality is made of a single substance: Consciousness. There are no differences in reality. The only game we can play is imagining the existence of something beyond the divine. We create the illusion of something beyond the Absolute by creating our identity.
Understanding the Illusion of Separation
The first distinction we create to believe that something exists beyond God is the distinction between self and non-self, between “I” and “you.” Once we create this primary distinction, reality is invariably split and divided. From this primary distinction, all other distinctions can arise.
However, creating an identity has serious consequences. As soon as you become aware of existing as a self separate from reality – that is, there’s an “I” separate from reality – this “I” can disappear. That’s the reason why the root of every single fear is the fear of losing one’s identity.
The Path to Overcoming Fear: Letting Go of Identity
Our identity consists of both conceptual and material identifications. You can identify with ideas, concepts, or with any part of reality. You can identify by believing you’re a parent – the “parent” label can become part of your identity, and so on for any other label that constitutes your identity.
To overcome any fear, it’s vitally important to let go of your identity. It’s crucial to free yourself from any attachment you may have to reality. It’s important to understand that this work of disidentification from the attachments you feel towards reality is work you’ll be forced to do, whether you want to or not.
Two Approaches to Disidentification: Active Work vs. Life’s Lessons
In your life, you have two main possibilities. The first is to actively work on letting go of your attachments. The second is to choose to let life polish your spirit for you. This second choice is much more painful and is the choice most people make. My suggestion is to undertake a work of inner introspection that allows you to let go of your attachments and overcome all your fears.
At the end of your days, you’ll be forced to let go of any attachment you may have. The event we call death is a forced administration of letting go of your attachments. When you die, you’ll be forced to let go of your parents, your children, anyone you’ve ever loved, everything you’ve built throughout your life, everything you’ve achieved, everything you own.
Embracing Death Before Death: The Key to Inner Freedom
To be completely free, to face existence with an inner freedom out of this world, you need to be willing to die before you die. After you’ve fully accepted the death of what you identify with, you’ll discover that ultimately there’s nothing beyond you, and therefore there’s nothing to fear because you’re the only entity that exists in reality, since you are Consciousness.
How would your life change if you accepted the possibility of any of your fears? Do you believe you would free yourself from the tension, stress, and anxiety you feel? If you accepted any possible fear, fear would no longer have any hold through which to make you lose your inner balance.
The Illusion of Value and the Discovery of Divine Reality
The only way the illusion of value can exist is through the projections of your mind. It’s your mind that projects value onto reality. If there were no longer a separate entity to give greater value to one aspect of reality over another, what would become of value? All the value you project onto reality would cease to exist, and everything in reality would assume the same absolute value.
Embracing the Infinite Within
Once you’ve realized that everything is your own Self, you will discover that any fear you can imagine is nothing but a possible manifestation of your own Self. Therefore, ultimately, what you’re really afraid of is nothing but the infinite forms that your own Self can take. In other words, you’re actually afraid of infinity itself.
If you want to overcome every single fear, you need to undertake a work of inner introspection that leads you to disidentify with everything you’re identified with and that leads you to completely free yourself from your identity. The freedom that comes from losing your identity, from dying before you die, will lead you to experience an extraordinary inner freedom.
Moreover, if you free yourself from your conceptual mind, you’ll discover that reality is all made of the same substance, that in reality there’s no separation. This understanding will give birth to the recognition of the divine nature of reality.
