How can we reconcile the existence of the divine with the existence of evil? This is one of the fundamental questions that humans have been asking since the dawn of time. In this article, we will find precise answers to the problem of evil. However, you won’t like the following concepts because they endanger the survival of your separate identity.
In spiritual enlightenment work, it’s paramount to be honest with yourself. The belief in the existence of evil and the existence of death is one of the main pillars of your identity. Therefore, you don’t really want to realize that death is unreal, that reality is good, and that the universe is perfectly designed.
Why You Will Resist These Teachings
The belief in death and the projection of evil strengthen your egoic mind and the sense of separation in two main ways:
- The belief in death allows you to identify with the body. If death is real, you are a body which is separate from the rest of the universe.
- The projection of evil allows you to judge others, and therefore strengthens the feeling of being apart from them.
If you were to truly understand the unreality of death, you would also have to reprogram your entire understanding of reality. You take for granted that you are a person, that you have a body, that you were born in a certain place, and that one day you will die. If you were to truly admit to yourself that death is unreal, your entire conception of reality would have to collapse.
Be honest and admit to yourself that you don’t want to understand that death is unreal, that reality is good, that existence is perfect as it is. Only if you do so will you have a chance at overcoming the defense mechanisms of your egoic mind that prevent you from analyzing, free of preconceptions, the information contained in this article.
A Personal Journey
Very often when I write about the perfection of reality, some readers believe that I have blinders on, that I don’t see the suffering that reigns in the world. This is absolutely not the case. Whether you believe it or not, I was contemplating the problem of evil when I was six years old because my childhood was a very difficult one.
It’s precisely thanks to the challenging experiences I had as a child that I was forced to look inside myself. I used to believe that life was wrong. And through a great deal of contemplation, I ended my existential suffering.
What you’ll read should make you joyful. You can reconcile the existence of God with the problem of evil. You can realize and experience absolute freedom within yourself. If you approach the topic of spiritual enlightenment with a serious will to have deep insights about the nature of reality, your life will change drastically.
The Connection Between Death and Evil
Death and evil are closely connected. To understand what evil is, you need to understand what death is – what is this damn thing you believe in called death?
If you answer this question, you will also solve the problem of evil. The worst thing that can happen to any person is to cease to exist. But if death is unreal, what remains of evil? What remains of suffering? What remains of your ideas about the existence of evil?
You will never experience non-existence. You are destined to live eternally because you are Life. This statement contradicts everything you know about reality.
Breaking Free from Materialism
If you want to solve the problem of evil, you must question everything you know about reality. There is no other way. Because right now, you take for granted the entire materialist paradigm. You believe that the universe is made of matter.
The materialist paradigm is inherent in your mind; it’s the automatic way you explain reality because the whole of society adheres to the materialist paradigm. To not lose your mind, you need to explain to yourself somehow what life is.
You’ve been indoctrinated to believe that reality is made up of matter, that you are a body, and that the reason you are aware is because inside your brain there are biological processes that give rise to consciousness through interactions of certain material particles.
According to the materialist paradigm, when you die, there will be nothing left. It will be the end of what you are. When you explain reality through the materialist paradigm and perceive the suffering of animals, people, the suffering that exists in the world, you can’t help but believe that there’s something wrong with reality.
The Structure of Reality
The understanding of the structure of reality will solve the problem of evil. However, there’s no need to believe any of my words because you can realize, through various spiritual practices, the validity of these teachings directly. And don’t forget that intellectual understanding can turn into direct understanding (Jnana Yoga).
The universe is the Mind of God, seen from the inside. You are inside the Mind of God, and there is nothing outside this Mind. This means that death is unreal because there is nothing beyond reality. If all that exists is Mind, you are always safe. You, whatever happens, will always be within the Mind of the divine.
If reality is a dream, how can you really die? When you die, you will wake up to the reality of union. It’s impossible to really die within a dream because what you really are is not just the protagonist you’ve identified with within the dream, but you are also the Mind that conjures up the dream. There is no real difference between the protagonist you currently believe yourself to be and the universal Mind that entertains the dream as a whole.
Death is the realization that you have always been the Mind that entertained the whole dream. When you entertain a nightmare and you happen to die within the dream and you wake up to everyday reality, have you really died? Has the death you experienced somehow really harmed you?
It’s impossible to really die within a dream because what you really are is not just the protagonist you’ve identified with within the dream, but you are also the Mind that conjures up the dream.
How can the content of a dream really harm a Mind? Nothing within the world can really harm you because you are, in the absolute sense, the Mind that entertains the dream that is life. Everything you see is your own imagination, exactly as happens within a dream you entertain during the night. There is absolutely no difference.
Addressing Suffering in the World
Now you might tell me, “But what about the suffering of children in Africa? What about the suffering of animals in intensive farming?” You still don’t understand that reality is a dream and that death is unreal.
Of course, this is not some sort of moral directive for the perpetration of evil acts or for ignoring the world’s problems. Try to reflect for a moment. Why am I sharing this information that seems to be absurd, for which only 200 or 300 years ago people would have been killed? Even though I know directly that reality is perfect as it is and no one needs to be saved, I’m sharing these teachings to help you achieve inner freedom.
Therefore, these understandings have nothing to do with moral directives. Do you want to solve the problem of world hunger? Fine, do it. Do you want to improve the living conditions of animals? Do it. I’m not telling you not to alleviate the suffering present in the world. I’m simply telling you that reality is perfect as it is, no being will ever experience death because death is impossible.
The Purpose of Existence
God, who is a perfect intellect, has conceived and imagined the entire cosmos so that you can experience the infinite from a limited point of view, so that you can believe you’ve lost yourself within a dream, only to then awaken and experience divine love.
When you wake up from a nightmare at night, you feel immense joy because you suddenly realize that the dream from which you woke up was just a dream. Imagine how much pleasure, how much happiness, how much bliss you could feel if you could understand that reality is a dream, that everything around you is your own Self, that there is nothing beyond your own imagination.
This is what Eastern mystics mean when they state that there is nothing beyond your Self. Stating that reality is your Self is simply another way of saying that reality is your own imagination. Everything you experience is the movement of your own Mind.
This understanding should fill you with joy because there is nothing else but You. You are the eternal Subject. Metaphysical love is the understanding that there is no difference whatsoever in the Being of the universe, everything is made up of the same substance. In other words, I am you.
Why Does God Allow Evil?
If God were to remove what you call evil – which God can’t do because there is nothing beyond reality – God would be committing an evil act. Depriving a part of reality of the possibility to exist is the definition of evil.
But if God is pure intellect, if God is pure love, how could God destroy what you call evil? God can’t do such a thing, first because reality has no outside where to move what you would want to delete, and second because if God is love, God can do nothing but love.
And this conception of a God who loves everything, who loves you despite anything you do, is quite different from the conception of the God of religions. When I write about God, I’m not indicating a bearded gentleman sitting on a throne in heaven. If you believe so, you’re really insulting your own intelligence because you’re showing that you haven’t understood a thing about my content and about non-duality.
The Nature of Divine Love
God is love, and God can do nothing but love. God will accept anything you do. God will continue to love you no matter what you do. If you want to approach the divine, you need to choose to abandon the corruption of your egoic mind. Your egoic mind is what prevents you from seeing that the present moment is perfection.
The reason why you feel existential pain is that you are not able to love impartially. Your love is biased. If you want to experience love, if you want to improve your state of consciousness, learn to love without biases. Learn to love any aspect of reality, and this love will help you approach divine love.
The Importance of Resolving the Problem of Evil
If you don’t resolve the problem of evil, you will always be angry with the divine and you won’t be able to experience the beauty of life because you will think that there is something fundamentally wrong with reality itself.
How can you experience the joy of life if you continue to believe in the existence and possibility of death? It’s impossible. But through the understanding of the information I’ve shared with you, you can resolve the problem of evil and conquer an unlimited freedom.
Whatever may happen to you, whatever may happen to the people you care about, deep down in your being, there will be a place where you will always know to be safe, because you will be aware that death is unreal and that there is only Life.
God created the entire universe for your amusement. Life is a gift from God to you to allow you to play, to experience the beauty of life, and ultimately to allow you to experience divine ecstasy, to allow you to recognize the existence of love. Enjoy the ride.
